Welcome to Masking! These Terms of Use ("Terms") explain how you can use our app. By using Masking, you agree to these Terms. We've tried to keep them clear and fair.
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Masking app ("App") operated by Lively Light ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App. But we hope you'll give us a try!
Description of Service
Masking is a skincare timer application that helps you track face mask application times. The App provides:
- Customizable timers for different mask types
- Skin type-based recommendations
- Session history and calendar integration
- Local and push notifications
Free and Pro Features
Masking offers core features for free. You can upgrade to Masking Pro for additional features like more mask types, widgets, and detailed history tracking.
In-App Purchases
Masking Pro (One-Time Purchase)
Masking Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks all premium features forever. No subscriptions, no recurring charges. Once you buy it, it's yours to keep on all devices linked to your Apple ID.
Payment
All purchases are securely processed by Apple through the App Store. By making a purchase, you also agree to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Refunds
We want you to love Masking! If you're not satisfied with your purchase, you can request a refund through Apple within a reasonable time after purchase. Since Apple handles all payments, refund requests go through them directly. Visit Apple Support for assistance.

Restore Purchases
Switched to a new device? No problem! You can restore your purchase anytime by going to Settings > Restore Purchases in the App. Your Pro status is linked to your Apple ID, so you won't lose it.
Using Masking
We've built Masking to help you enjoy your skincare routine. To keep things running smoothly, please:
- Use the App for its intended purpose: timing your face masks
- Follow your skincare product's instructions (the App provides general guidance, but your product knows best!)
- Don't try to reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the App
- Use the App in accordance with applicable laws
Health & Skincare Disclaimer
Masking is a timer app, not a medical device.
Our timer recommendations are general guidelines based on common mask types. Everyone's skin is different, so please:
- Always follow your specific skincare product's instructions. They know their formula best
- Do a patch test when trying new products
- If you experience any irritation, remove the mask immediately and consult a dermatologist if needed
- Listen to your skin. If something doesn't feel right, trust your instincts
We care about your skin health, but we can't account for individual reactions or product-specific requirements.
Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, graphics, code, and content, is owned by Lively Light and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App
- Use our trademarks without permission
- Create derivative works based on the App
What We're Responsible For
We work hard to make Masking reliable and helpful, but we want to be upfront about our limitations:
- The App is provided "as is." We can't guarantee it will be perfect or uninterrupted
- Skin reactions depend on many factors unique to you and your products. We provide timing guidance, but please always follow your product's instructions
- If something goes wrong, our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid for the App
- We can't be held responsible for data loss due to device issues or iCloud problems. We recommend keeping your device backed up
These limitations exist to the maximum extent permitted by law in your jurisdiction.
Playing Fair
If any issues arise from misusing the App or violating these Terms, you agree to take responsibility for any resulting claims or costs. We hope it never comes to that. We'd much rather you just enjoy your masking time!
App Availability
We want you to enjoy Masking for years to come. However, in rare cases where someone seriously misuses the App or violates these Terms, we may need to limit their access. We'll always try to resolve issues fairly first.
Updates to the App
We regularly update Masking with improvements and new features. Some updates may be required to continue using the App. We recommend keeping automatic updates enabled so you always have the best experience.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last Updated" date and may notify you through the App. Continuing to use Masking after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
Legal Bits
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will still apply. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
